About this audiobook
An epic love story.
26+ hours of listening. Aldara and Tyron’s complete story.
THE ROYAL COMPANION #1
She is the gift he did not want. He is the prince she is forbidden to love.
SHORTLISTED FOR THE WOOLLAHRA DIGITAL LITERARY AWARDS 2017
Sold to the obnoxious crown prince as a gift for his brother, Aldara travels to Archdale Castle, where she is mentored to become Prince Tyron’s perfect Companion. But no amount of lessons can prepare her for the man marked by war.
Tyron has just returned from war. All he wants is privacy to grieve the men who died at the border. When his brother gifts him a Companion upon his return, he is forced to embrace a tradition he has so far managed to avoid. Except Aldara is not like the others. She walks with her face to the sun. Her laughter makes him forget the lie. But if they ignore the rules that safeguard them, there will be consequences…
THE COMMON GIRL #2
Love has never been more dangerous.
Aldara never wanted to be a Companion, but the choice was made for her. She never imagined she would grow to love the man who owns her more than her own freedom. But when her life at Archdale begins to crumble, Tyron sends her back to the safety of her family, where she must find a way to exist without him. As Zoelin continues to tighten its grip on Syrasan, the pair soon discovers there are no safe havens…
THE MAJESTIC IMPOSTOR #3
A relentless love. An impossible choice.
Prince Tyron is adjusting to life under his brother’s rule. Shifts in power see him sent to Corneo to take control of the West. Amid the throes of war, he learns that the woman who still holds his heart has been keeping a secret. An impulsive decision delivers him into enemy hands with no way out.
Unless she does the unthinkable…
Warning: Contains sexual violence, death and dark themes.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I have to admit that even though I read the trigger disclaimer that there was the issue of rape in this book when it came time for that particular issue I was extremely put off and heartbroken for the victim, to the point that I almost didn’t continue on… but I’m actually very glad that I did.
While I can admit to feeling frustration with the female lead at times it was simply because she has a very pure soul and sometimes I just didn’t want her to be so kind, but the story was epic. It was an epic love story that I honestly will at some point probably revisit. It’s a story that will stick with me, in a good way! I’m happy to have read it.2 people found this helpful

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Spoiler free description info: time period: medieval, no magical elements. MC: white het female, 15 in the prologue of book one, but 16 at chapter one, and about 1.5 years elapses each book. Trigger warnings: SA, not graphic. Rating: PG-15 for heavily implied but not detailed sexual activity, consensual and not consensual. Spice level 2/5, could almost give it a 0 but the angst is about at 4.5/5 and the sheer frequency of implied sexual content brings it to a 2 for me. Narration was a 4/5 for me, no complaints but not wowed. Only complaint on the writing is that the pov switches from person to person without any way to distinguish who until context is provided, at least in the audiobook. It’s possible there is some kind of indicator when reading the book that hints at a pov switch. There is quite a bit of death, injury, and killing taking place throughout, as well as the sale and trafficking of humans against their will, as well as pregnancy loss both intentional and not.
Some spoilers ahead with trope descriptions and plot info:
a girl that is ~different~ is sold by her family to be what is essentially a courtesan at the kings house. She is purchased by the crown prince who is not very nice and given as a gift to the younger prince who is also ~different~ but they cannot be together bc she is a lowly companion girl and he is big important man.
Super big spoiler here:
Second book brings the pregnancy trope, but as someone who has stopped reading books halfway through more than once when a pregnancy trope is even hinted at, I can say this is not terrible and can be suffered through if you are like me and are too wrapped up in the plot to toss it away immediately. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely amazing!!!! The audio and book was great. I am looking forward to reading the entire series.
