About this audiobook

He hates everything about her, so why can’t he get her out of his mind?

★★★★★ Goodreads Choice Award Semi-Finalist for Best Romance ★★★★★

From the NEW YORK TIMES, WALL STREET JOURNAL, & USA TODAY bestselling series

All is fair in love and auto maintenance.

Beau Winston is the nicest, most accommodating guy in the world. Usually.

Handsome as the devil and twice as charismatic, Beau lives a charmed life as everyone’s favorite Winston Brother. But since his twin decided to leave town, and his other brother hired a stunning human-porcupine hybrid as a replacement mechanic for their auto shop, Beau Winston’s charmed life has gone to hell in a handbasket.

Shelly Sullivan is not nice and is never accommodating. Ever.

She mumbles to herself, but won’t respond when asked a question. She glares at everyone, especially babies. She won’t shake hands with or touch another person, but has no problems cuddling with a dog. And her damn parrot speaks only in curse words. Beau wants her gone. He wants her out of his auto shop, out of Tennessee, and out of his life.

The only problem is, learning why this porcupine wears her coat of spikes opens a Pandora’s box of complexity—exquisite, tempting, heartbreaking complexity—and Beau Winston soon discovers being nice and accommodating might mean losing what matters most.

I loved the other books in this series. I found myself not that interested in this story and not really liking Shelly, one of the main characters.

Beau and Shelly. At first it seems like both characters are polar opposites but as we get to know them better, we see and appreciate their similarities. We see and appreciate Beau and Shelly and how they grow into a couple in a way that tugs at our heartstrings. This book is poignant, real and solid. We may all not have Shelly Sullivan's mental disorder but through her we learn that we are all worthy of love and someone to hold our tools as we fix our individual refrigerators

I love the Winston brothers every last one of them. And throw Ashley in there with them. Penny Reid writes dimensional characters that you come to love and admire Thank you Penny for Shelly arc. It was so well done and instructive. You have an amazing universe you’ve created. It’s brought me a lot of joy.

I just love this series. I love that even though each book is based off a different brother you are still with the rest of the family in each book, I also love how conversations and happenings in previous books are eloborated in further books. This book and Shelly's journey REALLY touched me.
