About this audiobook

New York Times bestselling author and the Queen of Slow Burn Romance Mariana Zapata’s fan favorite All Rhodes Lead Here, a story about finding love when you least expect it—now with new exclusive content!

The people we lose take a part of us with them…but they leave a part of themselves with us too.

Aurora De La Torre, or Ora to her friends, knows moving back to Pagosa Springs, Colorado, a place that was once home and is now full of bittersweet memories of her late mother, isn’t going to be easy. Starting your whole life over probably isn’t supposed to be.

But after breaking up with her longtime, famous musician boyfriend, hiding out in a small town in the mountains might be the perfect remedy for a broken heart. And checking out her landlord who lives across the driveway just might cure it, too.

Only Tobias Rhodes didn’t rent out the apartment to her, rather it was his teenage son, Amos. Fiercely protective of his family and distrusting of strangers, gruff and grumpy Rhodes initially keeps little miss sunshine Ora at a distance. But over days and weeks, long hikes and fireside chats, Aurora breaks down his walls and soon an unbreakable friendship blossoms into a once-in-a-lifetime love.

What a comforting, beautiful read. It's what I needed at this time in my life. A slow paced listening, with no morally grey characters, no toxicity and no triggers.

I am living for these audiobooks: a single POV with dual narration!

Recently divorced, sort of, Aurora goes back to the town where she grew up and that has taken her mother from her. Wanting to honor her memory and follow the mountain trails she once did. Tired of living in hotel, Aura rents a garage apartment. When she arrives at her new temporary house, she is greeted by a grumpy Rhodes whose son rented the placed without letting him know.

I couldn't wait to put my hands on this audiobook! Once again the queen of slow burn delivered! What I love about her books is that there is so much depth to them than I initially suspect. Rhodes is a grumpy older man who lives for his son. Though handsome and well liked by the ladies, he isn't actively looking for Mrs. Rhodes. He likes his peace and quiet and the only company he truly wants is that of his son. The Aura slowly but surely seamlessly inserts herself in their live.

While Aurora's back story had my teeth grinding, I loved how she cut ties with her ex and didn't let anyone else exploit her further. The way she was reconnecting with her Mom by living in the city she was raised in was both heartwarming and heartbreaking. At one point, I was so hooked by the romance that I actually forgot about the Mom's storyline. Rhode's selflessness and maturity was refreshing. You could tell from his actions that this man has lived a life and wastes little time second guessing himself. He was of course grumpy, but he wasn't mean and his acts of service were so adorable.

The HEA was so cute, but I wish we could've been privy to all the milestone moments that were just reported to us.
I hope all Mariana's book will get this kind of audiobooks!
