This would probably be a 4.5 for me but they don’t let you do halves so 5 it is. This book is exactly what you’re looking for if you want something light hearted and fun to read. Not too angsty or drama filled- just enough to enjoy every step of the way.

I enjoy golf but have never read a golf romance and I was definitely interested in this cute romance when Tessa Bailey announced this book. Fangirl Down is spicy and funny which is just what we have grown to expect with Tessa Bailey's writing. Josephine and Wells had amazing chemistry from the start—their meet-cute was unique, and their banter-fueled dynamic had me fully hooked.

I really enjoyed the diabetes representation through Josephine. It was thoughtfully included without making it a dramatic plot device, and Wells’ reaction when he found out and his actions after were honestly heart-melting. That man may have issues, but neglect isn’t one of them. But he can definitely be an A-hole.

That said… once the romance started heating up, it went from simmer to full-on boil in about five seconds flat. Things escalated fast, and I started to lose a little interest near the end. The pacing got wobbly, and I missed the fun, early dynamic that drew me in.

Oh—and there is one particular scene involving an arse and a hole that definitely had my eyebrows in my hairline. If you know, you know.

Grumpy Sunshine done right! These two, wow, the difference in them from the start of their story until the end, amazing. How they grow, for the better, not because of the other, but because of how they see things. The chemistry, and heat, wow, they sizzle when together, it’s a wonder they don’t electrocute everyone around them. Loads of fun and banter, fast-paced, and some truly tender moments, loved every second ?
