About this audiobook

What if you already met the soul mate you were destined to be with? And you didn’t even know it?

After losing her best friend to cancer, Corinne’s life is in flux. She has moved back to Chicago, is considering her next career move (or temp job), and has absolutely no time to look for love—until a mysterious dating app called Met suddenly appears on her phone, and with it, an invitation for Corinne to reconnect with four missed connections from her past. One of them, Met says, is her soul mate…

Corinne doesn’t believe the app for a second, but when she very quickly finds herself with back-to-back blasts from the past, she’ll have to consider if maybe she’s wrong about it. The thing is, Corinne’s also been introduced to a really great guy outside the app’s influence. As their feelings for each other grow, Corinne has to wonder: With her apparent true love still out there, should she tap yes to the next match?

With help from a new group of friends, her loving if annoying family, and maybe a touch of fate, can Corinne come to terms with the loss she’s still reeling from, take control of her career, and find love along the way?

I feel like there were so many themes to tie together. One of the characters actions were so up and down, and didn’t match his personality as described. The book was extremely inclusive though. Also, would recommend this for anyone who enjoys adult romance, but doesn’t want detailed sex scenes. I like a lil spice though, and was a little surprised when this skipped over those details.

This was cute if a little angsty at times. I liked that everything wasn't explained away either

Corrine is grieving the loss of her best friend to cancer and is also adjusting to life in Chicago. The novel follows her journey to new friendships, a professional direction, and a new relationship. There's subtle element of fantasy - a phone app that is possibly an intervention from the other side by her lost best friend. I especially enjoyed the development of relationships that Corrine experiences as she opens up to what the world has to offer.

I thought this was a charming, quick read. While, I did not find my husband or soul mate on a dating app; it is not totally unbelievable to imagine people finding their soul mates from a dating app as that is what the present times revolves around. No, I meant my husband the "old fashion" way...in a night club. Therefore, the idea of a magical app just appearing on Corinne's phone was an intriguing concept. If this happened to me I would probably try it; especially in the fact that it is telling me that I might find my soul mate. While, I did like this book and found it to me a quick read, I did find myself struggling to connect with any of Corinne's love interest. I honest can't remember their names of how Corinne meant them in her past relationships with them. This book reads is not a rom com, if you were thinking that. It is more contemporary romance. Overall, I found myself "liking" more than "loving" this book. Yet, I would read another book by this author.
