**spoiler alert** I have really liked all the books in this series but I have to say this book has been my favorite so far. The sexual chemistry between Carina and Max was so steamy you could hardly see the pages to read. I love the take charge Carina go for what you want with no regrets. She was awesome and relatable that is hard to find in a romance book. I was sad when Carina left Max to find herself but she knew that she could never be able to love him like he needed if she didn't find herself first. I was jumping for joy when they did get their HEA. Max was great, lick-able likable and most important he was down to earth. I was hoping that he would have discovered his own feelings for Carina before she left him but I respect that he didn't go after her and let her discover who and what she needed for herself. This book and also the other books in this series the relationships happen over reasonable amount of time. They feel more authentic believable other than everyone is extremely rich. Which is nice, I like to see over time how the relationship grows. The author did a great job with this story. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Unfortunately, this one just didn't do much for me. A lot of the character motivation was lacking--Carina's burning desire to lose her virginity NOW, with any convenient guy because he'd just be a means to an end, in particular bothered me--and I had a hard time really caring much about the characters. I kept waiting for Max and Carina to both grow up and act like real adults, but it just didn't happen. The drama was over the top, their mid-novel "solutions" were unrealistic, and the resolution was way too easy and convenient. Some of the supporting characters and dialogue weren't bad, hence the two star rating, but overall this one was a disappointment.

The third installment is no different. Ms. Probst knows her characters, and knows angst and how to combine it with romance to bring it all together in a pretty little package.I simply could not put down this book and was engaged for my entire Sunday in order to finish it. The laundry went undone, the kids had left over pizza, and my house is currently a mess, but it was so worth it as I lost myself in this beautifully crafted novel. The character development and revisits by previous characters was spot on and built so well. It almost seems as if Ms. Probst does all this so effortlessly as it flows as smooth as silk. You never see the wavering of characters and each of them grow in the story as well as in your head like a long lost friend. If you?re looking for a piece to lose yourself in and find that you need a great love story that will leave you shocked to your core, then The Marriage Mistake is the read for you. Five out of five stars for a job well done!

This was an easy read. Max was tormented by his attraction to his best friend's sister. She had wanted him since she was a girl. What made it good was the heat between them. I want a Max! Pure heat and power... but with a soft side.

The author does a great job speaking from both points of view. The part that stands out most to me is the situation that made Carina walk away from Max and claim her own life then hearing Max's point of view really made everything come together- it was a heart breaking moment for Carina but turns out it was heart breaking for Max as well. Max needs to realize some things and Carina needs to find herself before their forced marriage has a chance.
You have to read to find out if it works out or if they call it quits.
    Nice closure.

The best one of the three and I loved every second of it. Carina and Max were crazy hot together and apart. Ridiculous chemistry between them.

What a book, what a story.A dream that comes true.Carina was this little sharming girl that everybody loves who transforms completely into this sophisticated young woman who still search to feel all the joy of life, I really loved her for her challenging personality and strong will with Max. Their encounter was really the most beautiful passages that I reading this book which means the whole book. One more thing read this book, read this book, read this book.

I'm slightly shallow. I'll admit it now, before you all chastise me about liking this book. :)

I didn't necessarily believe that Max suddenly developed feelings for Carina, nor was the writing particularly brilliant. But, if we ignore that, it was quite a sweet book.

I think everyone has a soft spot for unrequited love, because at some point, haven't we all been there? I think we all love the idea of someone finally receiving the love they deserve - to some extent it gives some hope.

Maggie still irritates me though. She mellowed a bit in this one, but oh my, she was so whiny!

My maiden name is Gray, it’s Irish not Italian. Most Italian names end in a vow. Too close to 50 Shades a again. With the billionaire and a virgin.

Let's start with the fact that I hadn't finished this book. I just couldn't stand it anymore.

It was so annoying. Carina keeps teasing Max, while she says that her fascination in him is over. This is completely childish.
But the part I couldn?t stand was the sex and marriage one. Max and Carina spend night together when her mother finds out about it, she FORCES Max to marriage. Come on! We?ve got 21st century. No one gets married after one night of sex! And what a mother wants her daughter to marry a man who admits that it was just a night of sex and it was not even important?
Of course, Max, who besides is really assertive and modern man, agrees that the only way to save the honor is to merry Carina. This was too much for me.
