About this audiobook

Bailey Sheppard had loved Nick Heart for as long as she could remember. They had been best friends in school and graduated to a friends-with-benefits arrangement after she left for university. His once-a-month visits, when she would have him all to herself for the weekend, were the highlight of her life.

And then he told her he was getting married.

Bailey needed Nick in her life. She wanted to be the one he married and lived happily ever after with. So she hatched a plan to stop the wedding and steal the groom. And then she met Hunter.

Hunter Green, the reclusive aviation billionaire, offers to act as her boyfriend to help her put a stop to the wedding. But his beautiful green eyes and the way he makes her feel when he touches her causes her to question her loyalty and feelings towards Nick. Oh ... and he just happens to be Nick's stepbrother.

Now Bailey has to make a choice: Take a chance on a new relationship with a billionaire, or stay the course and reach for the happily ever after she's always imagined?

Author

Emma Lea

I am a business owner, artist, cook, mother and wife.  I live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia with my wonderful husband, two beautiful sons, a dog and a cat (both of which are female because, hey, we needed to balance all that testosterone!) I am a ferocious reader with eclectic tastes and have always wanted to write, but  never had the opportunity due to one reason or another (excuses, really) until finally taking the bullet between my teeth in 2014 and just making myself do it. I love to write stories with heart and a message and believe in strong female characters who do not necessarily have to be aggressive to show their strength.

Why does he even like her? She gets drunk and does stupid things the entire book through.

This was good, I do felt like some parts were repetitive but then again it is fiction. Overall good to pass the time, not horrible storylines

Bailey was awful… she was wishy washy and vindictive. I liked the idea but not the female character.

I agree with another reviewer that this was ok. Steamy scenes between the main characters and an interesting enough plot line.

The narration was so badly squeeky and whiney i could not listen past half of the 1st chapter therefore have zero idea of whether this was a good story or not.

I really enjoyed the love story here. I really wished the author would have played on how smart Bailey is instead of making her seem like a heavy drinker. It really turned around though and I came to adore both characters !

This story contains probably the most horrible h ever written.... Bar none!

On the plus side, I enjoyed the storyline and will read the next book in the series.

    On the negative side...

    1. The h is beyond pathetic. Her monthly hookup friend announces that he is marrying another woman but he wants to keep the h as his periodic hookup... and she is OK with this. Really... WTF!

    2. Nearly 3 of the first 5 hours of the story is completely repetitive with the h whining about getting her piece of shit hookup back. It is absolutely constant and I had to skip forward so my head would not explode. HOW CAN SOMEONE BE THIS OBLIVIOUS TO REALITY!!!

    3. The h slowly realizes that she loves the H and that the POS is not worth her time. In between, she is willing to meet him in her hotel room to talk. The H tells her that the POS just wants to use her for sex and she gets mad at him. Low and behold, he just wants sex. She let's him kiss her before she tells him no.

Towards the end, she wants to tell him that she loves him; however, she cannot find 2 minutes to tell him... which leads to the final conflict.

This story would have been much better without the massively repetitive whining and internal dialog from the h - which would have made the story 5.5 - 6 hours instead of 8.25 hours.
