About this audiobook

Crulden the Ruiner is the most dangerous gladiator in the galaxy.

I'm his clone-equally ugly, equally dangerous, and just as feared. I'm also being held captive, since no one trusts a creature like me to be let loose.

A curvy, determined human named Bee doesn't think I'm a creature, though. In fact, she thinks I just need a guide. She's got half the males on this planet eating out of her hand, and she's confident she can do the same with me.

The managing little female has no idea what she's in for. I'm not some fool to be led around by my tail. But . . . the champion in me loves a challenge.

A champion also wants to win a prize. So I tell Bee I'll go along with her plans if she kisses me . . . right on my tusk-filled mouth.

I never expected her to say yes . . .

Contains mature themes.

This book was so sweet. Very cozy compared to the Corsair Brothers or Bad Guy. All good but in different ways. I loved the narrators for this audio book (full disclosure I always listen at a faster speed)

All human/alien romance novels should be labeled fantasy romance, no matter the skin color of the human woman. This is labeled multicultural/interracial which is off putting since I've NEVER seen that label when the main character is a white woman and the love interest is an alien.

Fun book in spite of that.

The book is fine. Tbh I decided on this one because it's narrated by Alexander Cendese. Except the man's parts are so infrequent, so I'm a bit sad by that.

The story is fine. Very basic but that's to be expected with this universe. I would have liked more character building, but as Bee is already a perfect person at the start of the book, Victor had to carry the role of growth. I really liked him, but Dixon could have been more daring and have him fight her charm a bit. He was a bit too easily won over.

I haven't read the first two books in this series and I don't feel like I missed anything. I've already been introduced to the farming planet in previous series.

The Bad Guy, and Worse guy, listened to them in a day and a half. Absolutely loved them both. Cruel….Victor was so sweet and innocent and funny, and Bea was perfect.

I suck so bad at reviews but I absolutely loved this book. You cannot go wrong with a Ruby Dixon book!

I loved these stories. Characters over coming adversity and becoming independent selves. The love of a good woman is always the magic trick

The book is definitely similar to Bad Guy, but also different enough to keep it interesting. The female narrator is really good.
