If you love extraordinary huge amounts of angst and all of the MCs to be overwhelmingly depressing or just horrible people, you will love this story.

The h has had a crappy last 10 years of life out of her 17 years. She just wants to graduate and move away! Stuck in a trailer park with a dancer/prostitution/drug addict as a Guardian who brings randoms to the house, her life is awful. The one man in her life is 20 years older than she is and she has a push/pull relationship with a nice guy in her grade. She only has eyes for the daddy figure... Ugh.

Now she is working part time at a strip club in the kitchen but the cliffhanger ending has her on the way to dance because her trashy Guardian is out of commission. Add in a ton of bad guys in the area heavy into drugs and criminal activity and her desire to cut herself and you may consider banging your head against the wall.

I ended up skipping at least a 1/3 of the story, 20 seconds at a time due to the overwhelming angst for all of the MCs.

Why 2 Stars and not 1? The writing is very good and you can tell that the author is talented. I will look for other stories from the author but will make sure to dig into the reviews first.
