Grumpy X Sunshine but make it gay co-captains in a football team!! No, I will not call it soccer goodbye.
Oliver was struggling with crippling anxiety and Gavin was struggling with crippling chronic pain and they were there for each other through it all.

4.75 stars because I loved them so much and I loved the song recommendations that came with their story!

Got a favorite trope? It's here. All of them. This is a sweet fun sporty grumpy sunshine to start read. Oliver is now on a team with his long term hero crush. This is where enemies to lovers kicks in. The are given a role that requires they work together. They slowly become friends and of course that leads to lovers. Next comes forced proximity. And oops only one bed?! Did I mention there is a ten year age gap? One is just starting his professional career the other on the tail end. Oh and they are neighbors. This really is a fun read with characters you will cheer for and a good flow to the story and yes a nice tidy happy ending. I was looking for a fun summer read and this fit.
