So incredibly adorable and geeky, with my favorite forced proximity cliché. Just what I needed for a fun lighthearted romance

This book was amazeballs! If you like awkward nerdy boys, enemies/competitors to lovers, forced proximity/road trip, and ONLY ONE BED, this book is for you. It has it all.

I loved the nerdy awkwardness of Alden and Conrad. They got in their own way almost as much as their pasts and families did. And as a Mama Bear, my heart hurt for them when faced with homophobia. But they eventually figured their own minds out, and figured their future out one step at a time. Love wins ❤️

Oh this was such a beautifully nerdy YA Romance but it was also so much more - the angst, the enemies to lovers trope, the social anxiety of being different - all culminated into the sweetest connection between two adorably geeky characters!
    Definitely a must read!

I'm going to be a copycat and borrow a word from a review below, because this book truly was amazeballs!
It was funny and serious, simple and complex all at once, and it managed to tackle some heavy struggles in a way, that made you feel the sadness and anger amidst feeling hopeful and happy.
I loved the characters individually and together and didn't want it to stop. I also enjoyed the narrators.
I don't think you have to be any kind of nerd to read/listen to this but I wouldn't know for sure ;)

I love the character development, they got so cute. And how they eventually talked everything out, great communication that made me believe the relationship

I really liked this book. Both main characters we're so well written and their relationship progressed naturally and the conflict wasn't petty, the ending was kinda unrealistic but like that's why we read, to feel like things can always get better. I loved it

A wonderfully written story with such depth and emotion. There is a real plot here, well developed complex characters and a heartwarming love story.

(I usually don't rate DNFs, but I can't post this review otherwise annnd the app won't stop suggesting me this book ??)

The idea behind this book was interesting, and I liked the aspect of giving a voice and a life behind gamer/geek characters. Also, this book portrays a Jewish, neuro-diverse, LGBTQ+ character, which is AWESOME! & also so refreshing to have Jewish characters portrayed in a story unrelated to the Holocaust. The two MCs backgrounds were interesting, and I definitely wanted to keep on reading to learn more about them.

However, I usually looooove the enemies to lovers trope, but I couldn't feel the chemistry between the characters. I also felt like their personalities weren't always constant, and quite immature at times ?

I wish I could've persevered some more, but after a month I haven't made any progress with this book.
