About this audiobook

Lily O'Connell, a succubus, has put her unique talents to work. She owns Lily Bound, an elite sex salon in the Blood Night District of Seattle. When a client turns up dead in her club, and she hears the news that the Souljacker-an old tattoo-artist friend-turned-vampire, who was institutionalized years before-has escaped to reclaim his "artwork," Lily knows she's next on his list. With one of his tattoos on her thigh and nowhere else to turn, Lily hires Archer Desmond, a chaos demon and PI, to track the vampire down before he tracks her. But she didn't expect to fall for Archer-and they say a succubus who falls in love will destroy the heart of the one she seeks to claim . . .

DANG. The book got to about ⅓ of the way through and i really started hoping there would be a part 2. I ordinarily dislike books with werewolves and vampires, etc, i much prefer SciFi. But the story of this one gave for a really nice casual read (listen).

Loved the characters and interstin lore intertwined with modern city living. Can't wait for the sequel!

An urban fantasy that has vampires, werewolves and the Fay all living out in the open. When a talented tattoo artist is turned into a vampire and escapes out of the asylum he has been locked in his former clients become his new prey. The Souljacker is hunting his clients down to remove his art from them since he is no longer inspired to create art since he was turned. Lily is a succubus and one of his former clients. When her Fey Queen commands her to track down the killer she has to obey.

This is the start of a new series and the start of a new chapter in Lily’s life. She has friends and in this book picks up a new job for her Queen and a steady love interest as well.

A fun light read and I’ll be looking for more of these.

I would like to thank Netgalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.Lily is a succubus who runs her own business in which she services weres and fae to calm her hunger and satisfy the lust of the supernaturals. So yes, a very specialized whore basically. But it's a living and keeps her from preying on innocents. Because her hunger can kill a human. But when one of her favorite clients is killed in her business, she joins forces with a crew of friends to save her reputation and all of their lives. This was a really good story. The world is not too complicated. I liked the way the Fae were brought into the story too. I liked Lily and her friends. I also liked the location, a new Seattle that is ruled by Wynter and therefore much colder than before. The sex scenes were a bit longer than I usually like, but hey, she's a succubus. The fact that Lily needs sex for strength is at least a good excuse to stop and have sex, even when the world seems to be falling apart. I liked the writing style in this book too. It is first person which I usually like in Urban Fantasy. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

I am a fan and have been of this author's for a long time. When I saw that the author had this new series about a succubus, I got very excited. This book is very dark. I would classify this book as urban fantasy. It had sexual tension, sex, hot characters, murder, intrigue, and a strong female heroine. Ms. Galenorn has another winner on her hands with this book. This book is dark and edgy in all the right ways! Not only is Lily a succubus and Archer, a chaos demon but one of Lily's friend's, Dani, is a witch. Lily's other friend, Nate is human but don't count him out. He can stand along side of everyone. One and Lily's client (dead) was a weretiger. Also, there is faes and the Souljacker is a vampire. So, there is a little bit of everything for everyone. My only issue is that there was not a lot of interaction with the Souljacker until about the last third of the book. Learning about his story was interesting. He may be the bad guy but I do have a place for him. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
