About this audiobook

We're the D'Artigo sisters: Half-human, half-Faerie, we're savvy-and sexy-operatives for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. But our mixed-blood heritage short-circuits our talents at all the wrong times. My sister Camille is a wicked-good witch whose magic is as unpredictable as the weather. My sister Delilah transforms into a tabby cat at the worst possible times. And me? I'm Menolly, acrobat-extraordinaire-turned-vampire. And if the nerds from hell don't get their act together, I'm going to turn their toga party into a bloodbath...

Life's getting stranger by the minute. First, Iris and I unearth a diary from one of the bartenders at the Wayfarer who disappeared under mysterious circumstances. And when I discover a ghoul in the woods near our home, we know there has to be a necromancer nearby-another sign that something's wrong. But the blood really hits the fang when we discover a secret society bent on winning Shadow Wing's favor. Now it's up to us to stop the chaos they've unleashed on the city and to prevent the demon they summoned from devouring Delilah's soul.

Fighting, lust, and a demon horde requires the sisters full attention. 2 demons and a necromancer show their interest in the youngest sister. A few open ends that I would have liked to have seen wrapped up, but maybe it will be in the remaining books.

This book worked well to bring them all together and fight some nasties and ended with a feel good moment.

The series is picking up steam overall. While a few of the previous books have seemed a bit flat, this is a bit better; sort of 2 1/2 stars now. Menolly definitely isn't my favorite of the three sisters, and I get the feeling that the author also doesn't fully understand this character.

I really love these books. Switching narrators in each book keeps it fresh and allows you an insight into each sister that you couldn't get otherwise and keeps me waiting for each installment. Though I do wonder at why is it that whichever sister is narrating is suddenly the one in charge! This book followed Menolly, the Fae turned vampire. I really like this character, not as steamy as Camille but not as crybaby as Delilah can be (very much looking forward to her growing into her powers!). All three sisters can kick ass and take names and are great characters to watch. Can't wait for the next book!

P.S ***Spoiler alert: Menolly finally takes her hair out of the braids!!!

I have enjoyed this series immensely, especially the books focusing on Menalie or Delilah. This one focuses on Menalie, who is half human/half fae and a vampire.

I'm not sure if there are more continuity errors/inconsistencies than in previous books or if I'm just noticing them, but they were kind of distracting. It's a fast read, with a mix of dark, funny and kind of stupid. Good for those days you don't want to think too much.

Nice but not spectacular. Lots of unnecessary sex (nothing against sex in books, but don't overdo it). A lot of zombie bashing and fighting with this sister. Plenty of things to wonder about until the next part comes out.On reread, I liked the adventure better.

Demon Mistress is a dark ride through dark eyes. Menolly's outlook is so much darker than her sister's, but it seems more real in a way. Darkling was darker than Demon Mistress, but it had to be. With Demon Mistress you finally get a chance to see Menolly beginning to heal from years in a very dark place. The struggle with the demonkin is still there, and the overall storyline continues to move forward, and leaves me excited to find out more about what happens when the spotlight shifts and Camille and her brood of husbands take over.
