About this audiobook
It all seems to be smooth sailing for Everly Swan. The island of Charm, North Carolina, is hosting tons of fun summer events, her iced tea shop is a hit, and best of all, she’s finally dating the handsome Detective Grady Hays. But their romantic
bubble bursts when tragedy strikes: a surf pro is found murdered on the beach, killed with a theater prop.
Grady follows the evidence, all of which points to Matt, Everly’s friend and onetime fling. As Grady does his job, so does Everly—her unofficial chef-turned-sleuth job, that is. She’s determined to clear her friend’s name, but the arrival of a fancy
new teashop and the Town Charmer, a gossip blog determined to rock the boat, complicates things. As Everly tries to keep rumors at bay and investigate the murder (and her new tea rival), the killer leaves a message in the sand …

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Such a fun mystery, sadly near the end of this series of books. Glad the author Julie Anne Lindsey has written other books under various pseudonyms
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book was confusing...too many suspects..not enough clues. Didn't like the ending. What was Grady's question??? What was the answer??
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Intriguing story, interesting characters and setting, and a wonderful narrator!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5cozy-mystery, family, framed, friendship, small-business, small-town, murder, murder-investigation, amateur-sleuth, outer-banks, romance, surfer, EMT, tea-shop****Publisher's blurb is pretty good, and the story does work as a stand alone. Everly Swan operates a tea shop in her small town filled with relatives and friends. She seems to have inherited a family "curse" in which the beloved of a Swan woman is doomed to a short life. Well, Everly has loving feelings for the town police detective and friend feelings for the local EMT (retired pro surfer). A pro surfer shows up in town and turns out to be the EMT's old enemy. When the guy turns up dead all the apparent evidence appears to point to the EMT. Let the sleuthing begin! Good story for a summer afternoon with all its twists and red herrings.I requested and received a free temporary ebook copy from Poisoned Pen Press via NetGalley. Thank you!
