About this audiobook

Linda Windsor is an award-winning author of whimsical romantic tales with Christian messages. Caroline Spencer is starting to regret agreeing to chaperon her daughter's high school class on their trip to Mexico. But another single parent, Blaine Madison, has a resemblance to Harrison Ford that is making her feel a little better. The fun comes to a halt, though, when their daughters get accidentally caught up in a smuggling ring.

Linda Windsor

Maryland author Linda Windsor has written some twenty-nine historical and contemporary novels for both the secular and inspirational markets, but she is most noted for delivering “The Lift of Laughter and Spirit” in her modern inspirational romances. A Christy finalist and winner of numerous industry awards, Linda has written for Multnomah Publishing (historical fiction and contemporary romances), Barbour Publishing (romcom novella), and Westbow Press (the Moonstruck romantic comedy trilogy). Wedding Bell Blues, the first book in her new The Piper Cove Chronicles series, is featured on Avon Inspire's launch list. In addition to writing and doing fiction-writing workshops at conferences across the country, Linda continues a music and lay speaking ministry started by her and her late husband, and she is a part-time financial analyst. She also works on “as desperately needed” home improvement projects on the 18th-century-plus house that she and her husband began restoring in 1986. Wallpaper and paint are definitely in her near future.

As one reviewer stated; this book "has a touch of mystery and a large serving of humor". I totally agree. I found myself smiling and laughing out loud a couple of times. Caroline Spencer is a single mom who thinks she is up for an adventure by chaperoning teenagers on their class trip to Mexico (and one of those teenagers is her daughter). Her daughter's best friend will be chaperoned by her single parent Dad, Blaine Madison (who has a hard time leaving work behind and enjoying time with his daughter). These two parents will learn to like each other, which quickly turns into stronger feelings for each other. During this time their daughters will unknowingly become part of an international smuggling ring, which will be realized just in time to save them from further danger to their lives. All in all this was a fun story to read and I enjoyed the romance and the interaction this lady had with the two girls and with the single Dad. She made this story bring a smile to my face.
