About this audiobook

All Michelle Jamieson wants is a fresh start. She’s ready to rebuild her life and put the memories of her abusive ex-boyfriend behind her, but her ex isn’t ready to let her go, even after his death.

Security consultant Sinjin Heath is on leave while recovering from a mission that went tragically wrong. The physical scars may have healed, but he still doubts his ability to protect anyone ever again.

When Michelle arrives at the lakeside cabin next door to Sinjin, things start heating up fast. Before they can plan for any kind of future, they’ll have to put the ghosts of past to rest forever.
Ready or not, Sinjin finds himself back in the protection business, and if he fails this time, he’ll lose the woman he loves.

Editor's Note

USA Today Bestselling Author...

Hayes’ “Saving Michelle” is a blend of romantic suspense and paranormal romance. The titular Michelle’s abusive ex has died, but that doesn’t mean he’s finished with her — now he’s haunting her, which is where Sinjin, a security consultant, comes in. The book is both eerie and romantic.

The 1st book was better, but the paranormal aspect was good. It needed more of everything except the sex. That part was fine. Though the sleeping together within 10 mins of meeting was a bit quick, soulmates or not.

Too much sex... Not enough plot, everything was rushed and crammed into this rather short story. I liked the first book so I had higher hopes for this one.... If you take out all the boning it probably cuts off a couple of hours. I found myself jumping past them after the second or third, there was one just about every chapter it seems. So much could have been done with this story....

This insta love story was a little hard to believe and it summed up rather quickly. But a nice quick read.

This was quite painful to listen to. Not as good as the first book, but i did enjoy the suspense of the paranormal aspect of the story. However the "meet cute" part for the characters, was far too rushed, and there was too much repetition of retelling of events, words that could've been saved to rather build up the chemistry between the main characters. This might have drawn out the story out too much, but chemistry building would've been met, at least for me.

The story is cute, simple and it flows nicely. It lacks depth or more twists but I suppose it's a good plot to connect the universe of with the first book ("Defending Kyra") that is more paranormal with the more human world that envelops this book. This creates a universe that promises to be interesting and that makes me want to keep reading this series.
