About this audiobook

Alora Church, scientist extraordinaire, is used to being valued for her mind, not her womb.

She barely leaves her lab long enough to see the effects of the aliens that have invaded Earth. When her best friend is Summoned to become an Axxeon breeder, Alora is prepared to help her run. Until two huge Axxeon warriors show and take Alora captive instead. She thinks there’s nothing worse than being taken as an alien incubator... but she’s wrong. Very wrong.

Tryllin, King of the Axxeon made a pact with Earth’s leaders to save them from genocide in exchange for select females. They have a common enemy, one that has infiltrated Earth and Tryllin is prepared to destroy. But he needs the scientist’s help, willing or not.

Now it’s time for her to make a sacrifice… until he suspects she’s also his fated mate. Can he make his captive a willing bride, or will destiny leave his arms empty and his soul shattered?

Axxeon King's Captive is a standalone, first in the Mates for Axxeon 9 series. It contains dark elements, and all the sci-fi romance you crave!

Editor's Note

Fated Mates Sci-Fi Romance...

The first in Paffel’s “Mates for Axxeon 9” series, “Axxeon King’s Captive” is a fated mates sci-fi romance. Earth has been invaded by aliens who need human females to reproduce with. The heroine is a scientist who is captured by the aliens, and the hero is a leader who is trying to negotiate peace between the two races. Paffel’s characterization is excellent, and it’s fun watching these two enemies become lovers.

I enjoyed the premise, though more preamble and more reparation at the end would have been called for in my opinion to make it a more well rounded book. I have hopes for the next book though.

When physical attraction is enough of a plot, consent is a voluntary concept. No redeeming features for h and especially H.

Okay, humm Scribd is limiting my access to its library because i read too much so I ended up here.
It wasn't bad, but idk the pop culture references weren't doing it for me. And i mainly read these small monster romances books for a quick story and fun smut but idk it did not get me involved. Idk, i feel like the next book will be about that dude that didn't like humans and our FMC's friend. I might read it. It was ok

This was a good little sci Fi romance. Aliens have invaded Earth and one scientist happened to be the first person to have contact with the aliens is kidnapped and made to make a bioweapon to kill another race. Along the way, she falls in love with the leader.

First, the narrators voice is intoxicating. Providing a counterpart voice to the story for the male characters would have made this story even more enticing. Second, the story and plot was like watching a movie or playing a video game with an unbelievable plot twist at the end, amazing excitement. Third, the sequel tension between the main characters caused my libido to speed up, let's just say hubby and I had a great night, lol! Fourth, I plan to read more from this author and adding another male narrator would be even more of a audience grabber.

This was legit terrible. The female lead always so weak.

It was good, but it was predictable behavior. It was a good change for easy forgiveness and just to love. Most books drag on >the Woman being stubborn sow, the book has more pages, so I give it 4 stars.

Might be enjoyable for others, but I was gritting my teeth in anger and frustration up until the last 3 chapters. I walked around pissed off for hours while listening to this book. It's definitely not what i was looking for, but I stuck with it because i couldn't believe this horrible self-centered man could be redeemed. He really couldnt. That was too little too late imo, after treating her like a disposable thing and never considering her feeling or treating her like an actual person. Im so disgusted. I wish I DNF this one. I need to go find a palate cleanser. I have never written a bad review but this one has me so frustrated that i hope this review saves someone else the frustration

This was an OK book. The story line is a good one but the attitudes of the men annoyed me so so much. Neveh was "scared" of big men because of her past and the guys completely ignored that and when they got together and she ran after they treated her like crap(except Brad, the omega) and let her go and then when she came groveling back after they saved her from her shifty ex boyfriend the alpha still basically treated her like crap and then bam all was OK and the fuck. Anyway it was OK but the attitudes were not alpha like. Also the narrator while good definitely didn't make the men sound alpha like either.
