TRIGGERS: Domestic Violence, Stalking, Assault. I'm not sure what the title even had to do with this book because, NO. I got the audiobook as well so there was a lot of ACTUAL singing involved as well so, I'm curious as to whether BJ wrote the music ?? to go with the lyrics or of the narrator just ad libbed that part. So I have to say that this book feels incomplete and since the next book in the series moves on to a new set of characters, I feel like there will be no resolution really. This story follows a country singer who is in a dark place while on tour. She meets this biker and he makes her happy but only by showing up at her shows and waving. They become friends and they both want more but it's not in the cards. The book is a slow burn. There's a crazy ex and a crazy manager she has to deal with. One's trying to control her and the other tried to kill her. I didn't like that the George l heroine had no backbone for the length of the book. She never did up for herself and never pulled rank and had her manager fired. There were things the manager did that were fishy and did not sit well. The ex was just batshit crazy because of him, a few of the guys of iron fury agreed to protect the song bird. The story was all over the place and these were two worlds that really just didn't fit together but the author kind of forced it. Still, I don't feel that the story is complete and that is BEFORE ending on a cliffhanger and BJ is already six to eight books in. I've checked the synopsis of each one and she never returns to these characters. I might be done with this series.
