So it’s been awhile since I’d read it’s predecessor, Reign so I was anxious to read this. I have to say I was a little disappointed with how it went down. First of all; the way the book started was not at all where the book went. The story went ALL THE WAY LEFT from where it began. I was expecting to get an explanation to the big bang of a start we had and there was nothing. Though I’m pretty sure it’ll be coming in Wolf’s book. I felt almost like that part of the story should have been saved for that book. Low and Cash’s story was completely different and just as dark as Reign and Summer’s. Low’s backstory is so heartbreaking and completely maddening. With the first man in her life to let her down and so on. I felt that hurt for her and it totally explains everything about her. Cash is kind of just there. No real back story from him, he is just the “hero” for lack of a better word. The only thing we learn about him is that he’s Reign’s blood brother (which we knew from the previous book) and he doesn’t do relationships (shocker).

I loved reading this series. I read this book a little over a year ago, and it was so great to listen to it. I hope that the rest of the books are on audio.
