This was a beautiful book, helped me realise that I should learn to be happy in my very short life rather than postponing it. It’s an everyday thing and I should not wait for a specific time to finally be happy. - Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5

You gotta listen to this book, great energy in this woman and her writings, books. This is her third book I have listened to and it is the second of her books I have purchased a physical copy of. Just for the quotes alone makes the book worth the price that she adds at every chapter. And it is in bit size bits, chapters so I know this is going to be a wonderful book to work through.
M.J. Is creating a book nerd in me, and it is cool that while I am only in San Francisco for 3 months out of the year working the ice rink at Union Square, She and her books are now a part of my memories from San Francisco to carry with me in life. A win win.
Thank you for doing what you do and getting this also out in audio format. I like feeding my mind positive energy, and the ideas, teachings, and joy that are created listening to books like this are a return in invest of 10.000 fold.

It was a good book except that she throws in her religious beliefs while also talking about Buddhism and Egyptian philosophy. Sorry but Yahwehism doesn’t go with Buddhism and Egyptian religion. Leave the nonsense out. Otherwise, good stuff in the book. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

Some Notes:
• If we base our happiness to the fairness of life, we are absolutely doomed to misery.
• Instead of thinking how we could make others happy, help them how to figure out how they could make themselves happy.
• Choose to be happy for the people around you.
• Learn to think optimistically:
o Optimist: There’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Pessimist: It’s probably a train coming straight at us.
o Being a pessimist won’t lead us to disappointments, but we won’t be happy either.
• Happiness refers to how often you are happy not on the intensity.
• Practice gratefulness: It is not happiness that makes us grateful, but gratefulness makes us happy.1 person found this helpful
