Madison’s barely gotten over a bad break-up. She only wants to meet up with her best friend and run the fan account for her cute dog Zipper. Then, a chance meeting throws her into a whirlwind friendship with the account’s biggest fan. Her feelings for Valerie goes from friendly to more… but can Valerie ever get over her crush on Madison’s best friend?

It’s cute but the story isn’t flashed out and the characters seem a little hollow. I think that is because there is a lot of telling and not a lot of showing. For example there are barely any descriptions of the places the scenes take place, Or we are told a maincharacter is handsome without any further description of them or their mannerisms. So in the end we don’t know what makes them handsome, what makes them likeable, desirable and what makes them unique and the character remains pretty blanc.

The story is a bit shorter than I’m used to. I was constantly thinking about while you were sleeping when I listened to the book since the nature of love between Maddison and Stefan was so similar to the movie glad Maddison has found her love

Cute idea for sure. But the story was so quick. There was a of lack character development, no chance to get sucked in and attached to the characters. It felt surface level the whole
time and then BAM, confessions and that ending. I feel like I have whiplash. It’ll be nice to see how your writing develops through future stories.

I rated it this high because it stayed with its premise and delivered what it has to. A part of me s”wanted it to be longer, slower in pace and more fleshed out - but it’s a short story with little promotion, so I get it.
The audiobook is unedited though, since there are obvious recording errors that weren’t cut.
