About this audiobook

In THE PERFECT SMILE (Book #4), criminal profiler Jessie Hunt, 29, fresh from the FBI Academy, is assigned a disturbing new case: a woman in her 30s has been murdered after using a dating website for her affairs with married men.

Had she gotten too close to one of the married men?

Was she the victim of blackmail? Of a stalker?

Or was there some far more nefarious motive at stake?

The list of suspects takes Jessie into wealthy, manicured neighborhoods, behind the veil of seemingly perfect lives, lives which are actually rotten to the core. The killer, she realizes, must lie behind one of these fake, plastic smiles.

Jessie must plumb the depths of his psychosis as she tries to both catch a killer and hold her own fragile psyche together—with her own murderous father on the loose, willing to stop at nothing until he kills her.

A fast-paced psychological suspense thriller with unforgettable characters and heart-pounding suspense, THE PERFECT SMILE is book #4 in a riveting new series that will leave you turning pages late into the night.

Book #5 in the Jessie Hunt series will be available soon.

I've been listening to Blake Pierce's Jessie Hunt series during my commute to and from work. I'm on book 4 and completely enthralled in Jessie's life, however, I'm not too thrilled with the narrator on this one. Her voice seems almost robotic in some instances, especially on the "...., she said." I can't quite put my finger on it, but it doesn't sound natural. I may switch to reading this book and get into another for my commute. The sound of her voice is lovely, it just almost seems as though she's purposely pronouncing words a certain way. Are there rules or regulations the narrators are supposed to follow that could be causing it to sound forced? I do look forward to finishing not only this series, but other of Pierce's as well.

The story entertained me- but the author needs to vary his word choices. If I heard the narrator say incredulously one more time I might have ended the book right there.

Great series. I just couldn't get enough of it; especially at the end of each book

In this 4th book Jessie shows her broken spirit to becoming a real self-centred bully. I understand the character development and why but Jessie should not be working. I fast forwarded through her rants.

Nothing wrong with the book, but the nasal twang of the narrator was too distracting! I could not bear to listen for more than 5 minutes.
