    Another fantastic story!
However the editing of the audio needs to be gone over again.

    2 Stars, barely for me!

This was a pretty good Story until the last 30 minutes. Slight spoiler below...

    Last chance!

The two female detectives are on their way to interview a person who had a physical altercation with their murder suspect (very small town so they are only minutes away from getting there) when their boss calls and says he needs one of them to go back and help the police on the case.

At this point, I know that she will figure out that something is not quite right, will get attacked and capured by a baddie. Guess what, it happens. The way it ends is even more ridiculous.

Blake, I usually enjoy your stories but this ending was just too much. The Heroine doesn't always need to be captured or almost die and the Police don't always need to stumble into the answer.

End of rant and yes, I will read the next book in the series.

Third book in and only halfway through but I’m already so tired of hearing about the main characters internal struggle with whether or not she should just enjoy life as a retired FBI agent; that coupled with how often her age is repeated…I’m just over it. The characters are bland and the development of their personalities and relationships is exhaustingly slow. I know they are fictional but the disattachment Kate Wise has from her “loved ones” has actually made me started hating her.

I am enjoying this series, and the characters are very real and likeable. However, the narration of this audiobook had a number of errors. The narrator would mis-read a phrase and then go back and re-read it correctly instead of it being edited out.

Confused….it says the book is about 2 parents murdered and twin 16 yo girls missing. Start listening and book says 2 parents dead, 15 yo daughter missing…..am I missing a kid or reading wrong book. First couple were ok, last one I didnt like and book 4, is a snoozefest that I will not complete!

I love the book but the reader isn't great... seemed to struggle on some of the lines, just made the book less interesting for me I prefer the other reader from the first 2 books
