I enjoyed this book. I liked that the murderer was a surprise right up to the last chapter. My only problem is , I believe, the author adds too much descriptive gore to the description of the murder scene. Well written.

Too much repetition. On the case, off the case. She is tough, she takes crap from everyone. Am I a good person or is work my only passion.

A fairly decent plot but much prefer his Riley Paige series. Slightly better written I found and the narrator on Riley series put my brain in a picture mode just like watching a good movie. Couldn't quite get into this one the same. Still worth a listen.

I really do enjoy this series but as the series progresses, you find that Kate has no one who truly believes in her including herself. Her director is constantly pulling her off cases (getting stupid and redundant), her daughter, Allen, DeMarco, and then herself. She constantly allows everyone to lay into her and she takes it. Her director brings her back in and then after a few hours, sorry Kate your off the case for no reason cept your old. Even though you break/solve every case, im taking you off and putting slower, newer wannabes who will let more ppl get killed. No big deal. ? Anyways, stop making these main characters into sniveling, cry babies who take nonsense, while constantly getting their job threatened. ✌️

This book continues to pull you deeper into the character of Kate, and even DiMarco. How the author intermingle’s the thrill of the job, and the joys of personal relationships is very interesting. This chapter of the series, is about tightening up, loose, ends, or dealing with your past and how that has affected you in the present. The story moves a little bit slower, but it ramps up pretty quick. Can’t wait to see with Kate and DiMarco have next.

I am enjoying this series. I feel like I am getting to know Kate, however, the storyline was a little predictable on this one. Still an enjoyable read

If she Ran - I don't get the tittle. Kate's back n forth of hating herself because she cannot balance her personal life and her reinstatement to the FBI is distracting. What's with the continued ageism? Also the strange back n forth of an inadequate director in the FBI going bk n forth with the harassment of Kate's performance - then firing her for doing a proper investigation. So stupid at this point, unrealistic. Even her partner's story is stupid. Worst story of this series. How can Wise be a great agent if everything she does is wrong.
