- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Different. And good. Not sure how historically accurate it is. But it’s a breath of fresh air to have different setting in historical romance.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Funny, clever, sexy and a period peace. What more could you want?!?
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The story was of some interest but the Hero was terrible. The narrator should only do women.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent writing superb plot With intriguing twists. I wish there were more.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The voice actor was terrible and the story was a bit better than the first two in the series.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I really enjoyed the story however I am not very fond of the reader. The men sound as if they are drunk. Well worth a listen to thou.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I like this author and the first 2 books in audio. But I could not last past the first chapter with this narrator. I strongly suggest you read this one.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Fun story, but the narrator makes all the male characters sound like gouty old men.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was hard to get past the brash voices of the narrator and the heroine, but even harder to bear with the hero’s anguished utterances. The duke’s voice was an unnecessary rendition of an elderly dotard- too slow, not at all attractive, and pressed so far down the performer’s throat that it was difficult to imagine anyone being attracted to him. The performer Ali neglected to use the broad northern accents of the heroine, so that the references to her uncouth speech made no sense. There were also so many grammatical mistakes that one wonders who did the editing… w
We fell in love with Adam in the last book, partly because of the performer’s prowess- it would have been good to build on that. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved the series. The first 2 readers were better than the 3rd.
