Description

Licensed therapist, nature lover and founder of The Mind Wild, Makayla Fisher, joins the podcast today for a conversation around the human experience of joy, suffering, happiness, survival, compassion, shame, and what it means to be human.

In her private practice, she works with brain based techniques including compassion and mindfulness practices to promote healing and growth for helping professionals, individuals in caregiving roles, as well as adults facing anxiety, trauma, grief and life transitions. We discuss our purpose, the challenges of being human, how to start learning what we don’t know, reconnecting with ourselves, self-compassion, as well as the role of the parasympathetic system. There really is no way to sum up the depth of this conversation around the human experience, you’ll have to tune in to receive all the nuggets of knowledge Makayla offers our community!
