This week I discuss the importance gut health plays in having optimal health!  Leaky gut plus endotoxins are likely the main causal factor in many of the chronic diseases we see today. New research shows that leaky gut plays a role in everything from anxiety to skin issues to cancer and autoimmune disorders. What can we do to reduce endotoxins in the gut?1. Remove everything upsetting to the gut This could be different depending on the individual.  Whenever you eat something that upsets your gut, that’s a sign that you're increasing intestinal inflammation and endotoxin production2. Eliminating GlutenGluten increases zonulin production, a protein that breaks apart the tight junctions in your digestive tract. Some individuals are more sensitive than others.3. Remove LectinsLectins are proteins that the plant uses to protect itself.
