Description
It’s one thing to go plant-based, and something very different to completely transform your life with one life-changing decision. Such is the case with Brittany Jaroudi. Growing up, Brittany lived with the constant fear that her parents would die. She saw her mom go through cancer on three separate occasions as well as her father having a massive heart attack at a young age. During all this, Brittany had her own health struggles. Dealing with weight issues from childhood, at five feet tall, she hit 185 lbs. Her BMI was in the obese range. Diagnosed with high blood pressure, Brittany was given the standard American solution… drugs. Determined to take control of her well-being, Brittany researched ways to reduce her health risks. A turning point for Brittany was when she watched the documentary Forks Over Knives. Getting a glimpse of her future, she made a vow to do what she could to turn her health around. After watching the documentary, she immediately went plant-based, getting rid of all dairy, meat and processed foods. Since that day, she has lost 60 pounds; she no longer has high cholesterol, nor does she take the medications she was told she would likely need for life. Brittany believes it’s never too late, or too early, to become healthy with plant foods. During this episode of the NHA Health Science Podcast, Dr. Frank Sabatino digs deep with Brittany about what it took for her to turn her life around. http://www.thejaroudifamily.com Health Science and The NHA http://www.HealthScience.Org
