Description

Mindfulness can be a learned way of being that creates spaciousness in a healer’s life.   In this episode we share the concept of building a scaffold of mindfulness as taught in Dr. Liang’s Mindful Physician course.  From her journey through her own burnout and cancer experience, she could not wait for the system to change.  Her suffering became a catalyst for practicing and teaching mindfulness as a way to build her own “mindful scaffold of support.”   Reflection Questions offered in this episode: What could the practice of medicine feel like if you had a scaffold of mindfulness supporting you? What if you embodied mindfulness, and in practicing it noticed spaciousness in your life? How could you be the change that you want to see in healthcare?
