Description

Now that we are approaching ten years of the College Football Program (which is wild and makes me feel old but that's beside the point), The Athletic's Ari Wasserman took to his recruiting mailbag to answer this question: what are the top ten programs in college football in the last ten years since the College Football Playoff came into existence? While the top of the list may seem obvious (see: Alabama Crimson Tide), it is difficult to break down the rest of the list considering how top heavy the CFP has been over the last nine seasons. Does LSU make an appearance? What is the good and the bad of LSU's strength as a program in the CFP era?
Plus, Wednesday marks another National Signing Day for the 2023 recruiting class. One college football hopeful on LSU's radar, and who has LSU on his radar, is 3-star defensive tackle Jamel Howard from Chicago. He is 6-foot-3, 320 pounds, and a top 100 defensive line prospect in the country. He formerly committed to Wisconsin but re-opened his recruitment after Luke Fickell took over as head coach for the Badgers. So what value would he bring to LSU?
Finally, Kim Mulkey and her squad has done it again. LSU women's basketball extends its win streak to 21 after a 76-68 win over the Tennessee Lady Volunteers, known to be one of the top women's basketball programs in the country. LSU remains undefeated yet the bigger accomplishment may not have even been on the court, but rather in the PMAC itself.
