In this episode Judith Germain speaks to Yonason Goldson about the price of our personal ethical choices. They also discussed why it's a fallacy that you have to choose between being good and being successful. The danger of tribalism and identity politics was discussed and Yonason reminded us of Albus Dumbledore's words: It takes a lot of courage to stand up to our enemies but just us much to stand up to our friends. It's one thing to be a member of a community but its something else entirely to sacrifice one's identity and intellectual independence and integrity - that's the belief of Socialised Mavericks.  Ethics is a struggle, one right versus another right or one wrong versus another wrong. Being ethical doesn't mean making the right choices each time, its grappling with ethical dilemma each time. The more we grapple with your moral compass, the more you strengthen your ethical muscles.
