Amanda Loewen is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and full-time instructor at 10th Planet Portland. Not many people can say they were the 1st in the world to do something, but Amanda can -- she's the first female to earn her black belt in the state of Oregon. Amanda an absolutely special coach and a fierce competitor. She owns the room with a powerful, yet calming, presence and certainly also owns the mat when she's fighting. Over the years, Amanda earned her stripes fighting some of the world's most talented athletes. She is currently the Submission Underground reigning female champion and widely considered one of the top females in all of Jiu-Jitsu.
