Description

Texas posted an impressive win over UTEP when the Longhorns stomped the Miners 59-3 in the 2020 season opener. While the victory was an impressive start for Texas football, it's important to temper expectations considering the opponent.
But the consistency shown the by the Longhorns has left one question: Is this the sign of what's to continue for the Longhorns as they enter Big 12 play?
In the mid-week episode of The Flagship Podcast, Horns247 columnist Chip Brown and managing editor Taylor Estes give their quick takeaways from the Longhorns win over the weekend, and take a look at what lies ahead for fourth-year head coach Tom Herman and Texas football as the team enters Big 12 conference play.
Chip and Taylor weigh in on the impact of the injury to Jordan Whittington moving forward, and as always, have our weekly 'Love it or Leave it' segment on the docket, with topics including B.J. Foster quitting the team mid-game only to return the following day, Texas moving to the favorite to win the Big 12 Conference in ESPN's updated FPI and how big of the concern some of the upsets that went down in the Big 12's Week 1 slate of games.
Catch all of that and more in the mid-week episode of The Flagship Podcast.
The Flagship Podcast — featuring co-hosts, Horns247 columnist Chip Brown and managing editor Taylor Estes — hits the airwaves twice ever week, and centers around all the latest happenings surrounding the University of Texas and college athletics, with big-name guests joining the show on a weekly basis.
