Finding Inner Peace - A Journey To Your Inner Core Through Meditation - Sterling Simon
Introduction
We live in an extremely stressful world. You probably don't need me to remind you of this fact. Why do we feel so stressed out? Why do we feel so much pressure? Why does it seem so difficult to find contentment and peace? Many people find themselves overburdened with duties, responsibilities, distractions, and routines that demand their full attention.
If you dissect your daily schedule, you'd probably fall into this category as well. There's just so much to remember every day.
It comes as no surprise that many people experience the following stress symptoms:
They have short attention spans. When they read something online, they can barely pay attention before another item appears on their Facebook timeline, and they forget what they were reading. They scan materials rather than reading them thoroughly. Most people have a short attention span.
Next, stressed-out individuals tend to overreact emotionally. It appears that everything you perceive or become aware of is a judgment or is somehow related to you. You personalize everything.
It's unsurprising that you react emotionally. This could be because you are stressed out. You might be reading too much into things. Unfortunately, when we open our mouths, we often end up hurting others. We frequently make decisions that we later regret.
Another symptom of excessive stress is a lack of patience. You don't feel like waiting for anything. This is a serious problem because being stuck in traffic can lead to road rage. This can result in violent disagreements among friends and family members.
You may have harmed your relationships because you have become impatient when dealing with others. People are people. Often, they need time to get their act together. Finally, you experience a general sense of anxiety and frustration. You can't put your finger on it, but you know something is missing in your life. You have a feeling that something is wrong.
Not surprisingly, you struggle to find peace and contentment. It seems like something bad happens every second. It may cause you to lose money or to become ill. Whatever the case may be, something is amiss. Something is not right. You rarely feel that your world is perfect.
Given these symptoms, it is not surprising that the Western world has a number of systemic dysfunctions. The divorce rate in the Western world is high. The high divorce rate stems from people quickly deciding that their marriage is not worth saving. People aren't very patient with their relationships.
Another symptom is excessive drug use. This is especially deadly in the United States, which is currently gripped by an opioid epidemic.
Some people have always used self-medication to cope with stress and anxiety.
Maybe they use marijuana, cocaine, or heroin. Whatever the case, it
