My Journey with Anxiety
Hello, my name is Harmony . I am not a doctor or a psychologist, but I am someone who has lived with and managed anxiety for many years. This book is a collection of my experiences, insights, and the strategies that I have found helpful in my journey with anxiety.
My first encounter with anxiety was not a sudden event, but a gradual realization. I started noticing that I was often worried, even when there was nothing to worry about. I would overthink situations, anticipate the worst outcomes, and struggle with restlessness and irritability.
At first, I dismissed these feelings as normal stress or just being a worrier
. But as time went on, these feelings started to interfere with my daily life. I found it hard to focus, my sleep was disturbed, and I started avoiding social situations for fear of feeling anxious.
It was then that I decided to seek help. I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), a condition characterized by persistent and excessive worry about different aspects of life. This diagnosis was a turning point for me. It was scary, but it also gave me a
