Introduction
One nation under stress…
2020
uncovered layers of unresolved concerns on so many levels (in the economy, with politics, health care, education, and social justice, to name a few). From this, the world had in fact experienced universal anxiety, stemming from either fearing the unknown implications of the pandemic or the personal effects of being locked away from human contact. Overall, our mental health was shaken. Now we are stuck with the bill to collectively regain our emotional strength in order to tap into our resiliency and heal from the trauma the year unleashed.
The purpose of this book is to name a few of these internalized socio-economic stressors that were already present in the world long before the 2020 crisis, but were outwardly exposed due to it. This book will also talk candidly about our human behaviors and address several other crisis that magnified in the midst of the pandemic. Moreover, this read with provide helpful tips on how we can work through this emotional rubble in order to reclaim our sanity back from pandemic panic.

Anxiety, Defined
P
icture this. You’re at home alone in your quiet space focused and reading a good book. You’re just getting through one chapter and because this book is so awesome, you anticipate the start of the next one to see what happens further; when all of a sudden, you hear the sound of breaking glass. Out of shock you instantly react and jump off of your couch, knocking over the cup of tea you’ve been drinking. As this spills all over the floor, you decide I’ll clean this up later, there is an intruder in my home and I need to call the police.
