In this collection of poems, it showcases my personal evolution throughout a decade of exploring my passion for writing. These poems are instruments of change; the literary form of my own development and personal growth. I want to use my words to create endless thought provoking questions in the reader's mind. I hope that the reader develops a sense of self discovery and reassurance from my words transparency. This book explores themes such as existentialism, self awareness, and mental health. I touch on sensitive topics that are sure to leave an everlasting impression, and I hope, a permanent impact.
I wanted to challenge the common misconception about poetry which is that it inherently has a somberness. The Poems you read in the dark
are for the darkest of times in your life. These inspiring words can be used to guide your thoughts into a healthier state of being, and mind. We all have a unique story that is indescribable and ever building. I want to offer this safe space as an option for closure, wonder, and wisdom.
