About this ebook

Rhiannon Cree Kirshner has found her creative voice in a world that has seemingly forgotten how to embrace one. Within a collection of thoughts and ponderings that shine a light on heartfelt self-examination, Kirshner provides a roadmap to clarity for all those who may be struggling with artistic expression.

In a collection broken down into two parts that begin with “Maybe I write to …”, Kirshner shares simple phrases that reach out to creatives who may be in a rut, perhaps do not know the right questions to ask, and those who may have returned to their core after years of compliance with crushing social norms. Through words that are daring and touching as well as earnest and robust, Kirshner offers a window into the heart of creativity while encouraging artists to reflect on why they do what they do.

Best of Luck shares empowering sayings that provide artistic enlightenment for anyone on a journey to seek an authentic way to creatively express themselves.

Rhiannon Cree Kirshner

Rhiannon Cree Kirshner was born in Long Island, New York but grew up in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, in a tiny country town called Gerton, North Carolina. She is currently working on a bachelor's degree in psychology, so she can realize her goal of working in the mental health field as a recreational therapist. After receiving her bachelors Kirshner plans to move to Colorado to work on her masters and doctorate as well publish her company of writings from the past 9 years. When Rhiannon was younger she could not comprehend the concept of a period. She could not feel, or sense where to put it in her stories. Her first grade teacher eventually gave up on trying to help her and told her to put a "dot" after every two lines. Rhiannon responded to patterns well as she saw it as one, but such a pattern was a hard one to break. Perhaps in her young mind she felt a story should never have an end. Rhiannon currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

    Dedication

Maybe I write for my family of friends and guides, Garrett P, Rebecca, Nate, Kayla, Isaac, Unique, Crystal, Bobby, Morgan, Tre Carter, West, Miles, the Brandon’s, Virginia Newman, V, the Richard’s, the Nicole’s, Tyler’s, Mathew’s, and the David’s, RED, Patrick, Pete, Luke, Alan, Anthony, Jeremy, Ruby, Bryan, the John’s, Leslie, Paige, Gabe, Dustin, Ernesto, Morgan, Emi, Tiffany, Sebastian, Jeremy, Billy-Joe, Steve and Bear, Elijah, Ana B, Jessica H, Martin, Christopher, Mary Beth, my family and the multitude of others who have taken my soul to new heights and supported me every step of the way as genuine friends. They saw me and loved me for all I brought into their lives and vice versa. These are the people who I want most to see what I’ve made in their honor, to always have a piece of me to hold, as they hold me in their hearts, and have always set me free as the spirit to be all I can be. They are my destiny friends, people I will carry with me and cherish throughout my life, the infinite ones. Know that I felt this in all of my being as this was written.

    Flip a coin

    Tails Up

I see the web that is spun for me and how every word symbolizes a piece of time aligning on each thread. The words Best of Luck are weaved along a sacred vibration drawing me back to the first moment when I read that phrase inscribed on a napkin, a napkin embroidered with a rose, signed by a celebrity who encouraged my skill as he handed me back the pen. I felt empowered to tell the tale of luck and how it always circles back to my initial drawing boards. As a young girl with that pen and that phrase, I went home and sat at my art desk writing out every loving desire I held onto
