About this ebook

In life, often one feels alone and that there is something better than what they are living. Throughout this book an author is writing from her heart to show people everywhere that they are not the only ones who feel that way. She reaches for the stars, falls into the ocean and sinks deeper into darkness than before. Yet, as the poems continue on and her advice reaches the hearts of those around her, she bares all emotions in the process. Looking to guide others in a direction of peace and hopefulness in the end, as well as happiness, she shares her darkest moments which eventually lead to her highest dreams.

Andrea Coker

Since I was in Junior High School, I have been writing poetry and a few years after that I started writing books as well. As always, practice and the enjoyment I got from writing made me improve. English was always my easiest subject in school and most of the time seems like the only one I enjoyed and was even good at. Now I am studying to become a Secondary Education English teacher at Arizona State University. Amongst the many classes I have taken since entering college, I have taken many English classes that have helped my writing become more professional as well. I live near Phoenix, Arizona and writing has become a way to express myself and I enjoy it more and more each day.

I don’t honestly know how I started writing poetry, but now that I am almost 20 I realize that I can’t live my life without it now. I have been writing since I was 12 or so and I never grew out of it. Sure there are times in my life where I don’t have a large window of opportunity to go ahead and write like I want to, but that’s life. It’s chaotic and hectic and you can’t always make it do what you want, that would be manipulation, not life. One valuable thing I have realized is I can always turn to poetry and writing in times of great emotional upheaval. Every once in a while that results in a poem that sometimes I never want to see again. Looking back now I see that when that happens I should never throw my
