Chapter 1: What Is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of understanding of concentration and focus. While talking about hypnosis, there are two theories regarding its implementation. According to the country
theory, the subject gets into a different state of consciousness. On the other hand, the on-state
theory implies that hypnosis is not an altered state of consciousness at all.

Hypnosis And Weight Loss
In hypnosis, everything is the exact opposite of what you see in movies. Just like in meditation, you tend to be more focused, intuitively aware, and goal-directed; the same applies to hypnosis. As you keep adding new lessons and new designs to your life, you will be able to replace all the old patterns intuitively and naturally.
In the first session, you will have to add various new habits. First, you will start adding new foods to your diet. You will have to opt for food and drink rich in nutrients. You will need something that can provide you with natural health and energy. As you keep doing this every day for about one week, you will come to see that you will consume less unhealthy items naturally and effortlessly. You will also have to add some new methods of eating.
The first step is to get to know how you can enter a state of hypnosis. For beginners, one of the easiest ways of doing this is by using guided meditation. In fact, since guided meditation is a superb way of managing stress, it can be regarded as the first new skill for weight management. The majority of your unhealthy patterns tend to originate from your emotional reactions to stress.
Most individuals never opt for the time that you are taking today to learn how to practice this skill. Meditation is a way of getting into a state of hypnosis, as in a relaxed state, you will be open to new lessons. There is no correct or incorrect way of experiencing this.
You can start by sitting comfortably in a chair. After a few minutes, you will get relaxed. But you will need to be attentive and completely aware of your surroundings. You will have to pay attention to the voice of the operator. Outside noises might get into your ears, however, do not allow them to distress you. In fact, such noises will be reassuring you that you are where you should be and doing what you need to do.
As you find a comfortable place for stilling your mind and body, start scanning your body. Anywhere you are feeling the tension of the day in your muscles, just let those muscles relax. Generally, tension is held in the jaw tissues. You will have to relax them too. Rest your hand on your lap and let them feel relaxed.
Once again, scan the body for any existing tension. After you get into a relaxed state, you will find that your heart rate has slowed down. It is an essential process of physical meditation.
Now, imagine you are in a place where you would like to go. Imagine being under a clear sky, with white puffy clouds slowly moving towards the horizon. As the cloud floats, send all your cares, thoughts, and concerns into that drifting cloud. Pay attention to the cloud as it moves farther in the direction of the horizon and until it disappears completely.
Now, your mind and body are completely relaxed. If any other thoughts tend to surface, let them drift towards the horizon.
The Basics Of Self-Hypnosis
The primary difference between self-hypnosis and clinical hypnosis is that in clinical hypnosis, the subject and the operator are two different entities. But in self-hypnosis, the subject and the operator are the same people. This type of shared experience might turn out to be of great value to both, as it will help to unite them emotionally and mentally. It will also help in the promotion of mutual respect and love.
Everything else is the same, just like the procedure of hypnosis. The number of times you will have to opt for self-hypnosis will depend completely on you. If you opt for a daily exercise of self-hypnosis, one or two sessions will be enough.
Steps for enabling self-hypnosis
