Steve looked around the room. Elena was on the floor with her laptop in front of her. She had brought snacks – a lot of snacks. There were candies spilling out of one of the bags and bubble gums piled on top of it. There were bags of chips shoved in the corner.

Across from Elena, on the bed, was Herobrine. He had his back against the wall, supported by pillows. His area was clean and tidy. There were no snacks and nothing was out of place. He was focused on the task at hand.

Elena, did we really need all this junk food? Steve asked.

What? Of course we did. We’re stopping the Circle, right? We’re going to get hungry.

So, we need bags of chips?

Don’t forget the chocolate. Herobrine replied from the bed.

Elena glanced over at him, Hey, mister, I don’t want to hear from you. I still can’t believe you aren’t part of the game and you lied about what you are.

Steve protested, Elena, come on –

No, She snapped, sounding annoyed, You can be fine with it, Steve, and accept it. But that doesn’t mean that I have to be.

She’s right, Herobrine said, Just let it go, Steve.

He wanted to tell Elena not to be too hard on Herobrine but he understood her annoyance as well. When he had explained what he had found out, she had been shocked. He hasn’t seen her that upset before, even when her sister had been trying to trap them in the game.

So, Steve dropped it. They had to focus on stopping the Circle. Afterwards, he could try to get Elena to forgive Herobrine for lying.

Let’s go over the plan one more time. Steve went.

Herobrine nodded, Elena is going to accept the invite for the trials and go to the carnival. I’ll be following her. Steve, you’ll log into my server after I give you the info. That way we both can trail after Elena. Then, Elena, you’ll fail the first trial. Once you fail, tell them you’re no longer interested. Be loud about it. Be annoying enough that Moon will want to imprison you.

Can I just say that this plan is really terrible for me? She scowled, I’m the one that has to go into the trials and be jailed – what if you guys fail?

We won’t. Steve swore.

Elena shrugged, clearly not believing him, Fine, keep going.

We’ll follow you to the prison. That will tell me where Moon is, as well as the final prison where Howard and Martha will be. We’ll be able to free them and take down Moon.

This plan relies a lot on hope and things working out. Elena protested.
