Life Can Give You Roses or Onions - Carolyn Thompson
Okay, you two, what can I say
You are both special in every way
I am truly blest to have you in my life
Do I deserve you, maybe not, but I say all right
You have always been there for me
Advice, support, and help you give willingly
Thank you for rough times you helped me get through
My life is fuller and better because of you
I can confide in, rely on you, and call you friend
I also know that you’ll be there until the end
I can’t wait to see what adventures lie ahead
We’ll tackle anything face on without any dread
So thank you, my friends, for all that you do
I’m afraid you are stuck with me like glue
What Is a Women All About
What really makes up a woman, who can say?
I’ll try and give you some answers and insight today
We are expected to be smart, tender, tough, and kind
We also need to foresee the future
and to read people’s minds
We need to think like a man and act like a lady
We need to be honest and do nothing shady
We should work like a horse and always look our best
We need to be social and stand out in a crowd above the rest
We’ve been called the weaker sex to be precise
But, whoa, who makes things better with hugs and advice
We are the women that when we rise each morning
The devil says Oh crap, she’s up
and sends out a warning
We clean, shop, cook, and even work outside the home
And we can do all that while talking on the phone
We can be tough and disciplined and come close to swearing
But we do it with patience, love, and genuine caring
At
