About this ebook
Write from the Heart is a collection of poetry that opens the mind as well as the heart. It shows how to express your feelings in words deeply but generously, thereby, getting your point(S) across.
Reading is a way of healing at times. These poems will deliver a sense of peace letting you know that you are not alone in certain real life drama. We all go through things, there are titles like A Piece of Hell on a Silver Platter, Cries Falling on Deaf Ears, Once in a Lifetime Love, A Stranger Prayed for Me, Step Out on Faith, Love Me in Your Heart, Without Yu, An Internet Affair and many others.
Life is full of challenges that we all have to face head on. It does not mater if you are ready or not changes are coming. In the words of Steve Harvey, life is 10 percent of what happens to you and 90 percent of what you do about what happens to you. So it is not the action, it is rather the reaction. Sometimes bad situations end up producing wonderful results.

Write from the Heart - Erica Hicks Jenkins
Write from the Heart
The words just flow from the tip of my pen
Telling tales of where I might go or
where I have been
Who says it has to be true, you really could not tell
if it were true or not
They are my thoughts, my feelings; it flows from
my heart
Life’s experience is a good topic, the disappointments
would be a good one too
That is what I write about so believe that most
of my words are true
Even if I have not experienced it someone I know
may have and passed it on to me
So in many ways I have written things that can
happen to anyone can’t you see
It is real life’s good, bad, and evil from the middle,
end or from the start
Not only do I write the truth, I write from the heart
Total Restoration
Growing up in the church was a big part of
being raised in the south
Having good manners was taught well- I
was told when to open and close my mouth
I do have my own personal relationship with God
and it is a plus
For prayer and faith in God from day to
day is a must
Sometime I lose focus and often times get side tracked
from the wares of life and that I hate
But God will always guide me and set my crooked
paths once again straight
For God did not say we would not have trials
and tough times to get through
What he said was when your load get too heavy, it
is then that he would carry you
He has never failed me although I have
often times failed myself
At times I have felt so low that I
thought even God could not help
It is then that I went back to my roots
