Author

Yvette Encalada

Yvette has lived through many trials and tribulations, as most people have. Everyone has a past and has their own stories to tell, but her past has been filled with more unfortunate mishaps than the average person. While growing up, being bullied everyday for many years, she had nobody to lean on to help ease her pain and suffering, so she used the only method she knew and that was to write poems. She used her poetry as therapy and although it never helped the problems go away, it did help her to deal with them a little better. Her poetry has touched the hearts of many people and as she has risen above all despair, this is her way to maybe help others to realize that through all their troublesome times, they are not alone. No one is ever, really alone.

Poetry Memoir ...The Inner Pain - Yvette Encalada

    MARRIAGE

    Long Distance

Could I be falling in love during time spent apart

How could I feel you falling deeper into my heart

Why do I spend every waking moment thinking of you

Wishing this extended time apart were already though

I’m so lost and lonely in this world of my very own

Wishing I could speed up time so you can hurry home

Since the day we met you have been so sweet and kind

Now I can’t do anything to get you off my mind

    Worth the Wait

I know your trust for me will take plenty of time and your love too

I know that you’ve been hurt and love may feel a bit taboo

I’ve got plenty of time so I’m not really concerned with how long

You will come to realize that I will never do you wrong

I have the time of my life with you which means time has been great

Earning your trust for me will surly be well worth the wait

You make me the happiest than I have ever been before

I’ll gladly wait for you to let down your guard and open your door

I am here for you always or for as long as you let me

You are a dream come true and you always will be

Love is wonderful when it is honest and true

That is the reason I fell in love with you

    A Real Man

I need a man that is faithfully straight up, strong and bold

A man that has enough of him to grab onto and to hold

A man with a heartbeat to make my love every inch

Not a man with just barely enough of him to pinch

I need a man that can make me light up and glow

A man that knows what it takes to be a real man, you know

I need a man that is strong as a fox but gentle as a lark

A man that has the compassion to take everything to heart

I need a man that is gentle with everything he plans to do

My definition of a real man is a man just like you

    I’ve Needed You

Having someone to be with is really a great thing

Especially when it is so much more than a fling

Just to have someone to hold onto is so great

But to finally have you was well worth the wait

I’ve needed you in my life to make me whole

I’ve needed you for my heart, body, and soul

I’ve needed you for your compassion and gentle touch

I’ve needed you, Baby, just because I love you so much

    Feels So Good

Feeling so good as the wind blows through my hair

Smelling the scent of the sweet summer air

Hearing the chirping birds as they sail in the sky

Watching the waves as they drift on by

Relaxed so peacefully with the sight of the sea

Wondering what might ever become of you and me

I’ve loved every moment that you’ve been by my side

Always wearing a smile and carrying so much pride

It doesn’t matter where I go or what I ever do

I am always thinking wonderful thoughts of you

    A Dream Come True

I was living in this dream that lasted all night

I dreamt a dream that I finally met Mr. Right

One night together was all we planned to share

Just a good time for a one-night love affair

It was really great and I really wanted it again

I was hoping this dream would never end

As morning came, it almost made me cry

We got up, got dressed, kissed, and said good-bye

    Was it really a dream?

    So real did it seem

    Dreams just come and go

    Just like a natural flow

Is this love that I feel

    It still seems so real

Another night came and I went to sleep right away

It came where I looked forward to nighttime everyday

Searching to find and be with him any way I could

He always tells me not to fall in love but I knew I would

With every meeting, I hoped he would also fall for me

Despite what he ever says, I believe we are meant to be

    It really did happen

    With all the passion

    A real live dream

    So real did it seem

    Then along came you

    A real dream come true

The Day I Said I Do

I said a vow to you to forever be your wife

    I agreed to
