    I started to write in 1974, this book is a compilation of poems that I have written over the years. Each and every poem in this book comes from my heart in some way. They have all been a part of my life at one time or another. Therefore, they are true to me, and thus the title My Life in Poetry. There are many people and incidents from my life that have inspired me to write these poems. I wish to thank all those that have inspired me and especially God for allowing me the ability to write in this manner.

    I thought very hard about whether or not to write an expletive for each poem to let the reader know what I felt and thought during these times. However, I decided that each person that reads this book should find their own meaning and questions that arise. Therefore, I give you my heart and mind. I ask that you consider each and every poem carefully and find the value in
