Remembering My Real Life

I started to write poetry when I was very young, continued all the way through high school, and continued to write poetry all the way until I got married. I had many family and friends who helped me through many very hard times and some who even put me into those difficult situations. I always tried to use my poetry as a way to express myself since I could not say those words. Many of my poetry consist of abstract things, rhymes, sadness, hope, landscapes, love, and sensuality. I gave a few dedications to people to whom they were supposed to be given to.

I Sent It Off

I sent if off. It goes through the mail, a stamp and envelope, sealed with a kiss, shuffling among the others. It is an important message from me to you, to be treasured for all, to be treasured for all, to be treasured for all, to become true to. It is a message with a short hello.

One Day at a Time

As the drops fall slowly one by one, I feel like I am the only one

I know that no one can see what I see only because there is no one else just like me

With a mind that soars like a bird in the sky

I do not sit and wonder why

I enjoy every second, minute, and hour that passes by because I do not know what can happen to me or why

I take everything one day at a time because everything can change in the blink of an eye

How Lucky I Am

Being lucky is one of the best feelings

I am lucky that I have a roof over my head and food to eat

I am lucky that I am healthy

I am lucky that I have a family who loves me very much

I am lucky that God above me looks down upon me with such care and love

I am lucky that my angels are with me wherever I am

But most of all, I am the luckiest person of all these precious things and the most is because of you

Snow

As I sit inside on the brown-and-blue couch looking outside, I see the white snow on everything

It is so white that it makes everything look so beautiful and bright in our backyard

It looks so pretty that I do not want to go outside and walk on it and mess it up

I go upstairs to look outside of the small front window that we have in our crazy home, and I see children playing in the snow, making snowmen and sleigh riding down the street

If snow is so wonderful and fun, it should always be here

In the Moonlight

In the moonlight, it lights up the sky from a darkened night into a lightened night

The moonlight makes you see all the stars

So that you may make a wish upon a star; you can see a beautiful dark-blue sky

But you cannot see throughout the universe

All you can do is imagine what will be because of the beautiful moonlight in the darkened sky

Bring in the Light

All around us, there are wonderful role models

Their faith, hope, strength, courage, and fearlessness can give us guidance during any time of need

But in order to look out to those people for inspiration, we first need to be ready to look beyond ourselves

In our times of need, it is easy to focus solely on ourselves

It is almost as if we climb into our own womb, conscious only of our feelings, thoughts, pains, and needs

Yet there are those among us who have lived through times as the ones we are in and just trying

However, instead of looking inward, these people looked outward for solutions and applied them

By using the same solution, we can bring some light into our darkness by finding ourselves

But most of all, I am the luckiest person of all these precious things and the most is because

of you

As God Cries

As the eyes of God cry for the earth, he wonders why his children have let him down

He gives the choice

Between right and wrong

And most of the time, they have proven him wrong

As I sit here in tears, I wonder if anyone can see what I see

The dark overcast that represents his overcast and attitude

Not even the slightest break of sunlight to be found

But all I see are his cries all around

If everyone shows a little bit of remorse, then maybe, just maybe, things would change in the world for me inside my heart and for God

We will each kneel down for forgiveness to not prove him wrong, and maybe God would not cry anymore

Why do they continue to do this to her?

She is always so scared to go to school and home
