About this ebook
God is a big inspiration to me, and I know that he believes in me, like I believe in him. Without God, this wouldve never been possible.
Im very happy to be able to share this gift with you all. This is what Ive always wanted to dosharing with the people, giving to the world, making people richer with thoughts and feelings. Let these poems be a treasure and inspiration for us all.
Dirk De Bock
I was born the 4th of January in 1958. I became interested in writing, not just writing, ‘cause writing a book is only one story. I wanted to create, make new stories, over and over again. So I started writing poetry, not just a few lines but in a way nobody else does. A whole page with a whole new story. In a simple manner, poetry for everybody, where one doesn’t need a dictionary to understand, feel and recognize what the poem is about. Everywhere I was, just started writing a few lines on a piece of paper or on a beermat. Sometimes these lines came easy, sometimes it took me many weeks to complete a poem.

Hold On - Dirk De Bock
24 Hours
Here we have the dawn
where a wake up call is heard
where people clean up their dirt
there’s no soul who isn’t alert
I am the dawn, the break of day
I am the day, gives you more sight
I am the evening, I walk my way
I am the night, without the light
Here we have the day
where love walks a true way
where happy people can stay
there’s no needle in the hay
I am the dawn, with a shining sun
I am the day, that wants to stay
I am the evening, for dance and fun
I am the night, that rolls away
Here we have the evening
where romance gets his chance
where people just want to dance
there’s no evil outside the fence
I am the dawn, who needs to live
I am the day, I don’t want to die
I am the evening, all I want is give
I am the night, that shouldn’t cry
Here we have the night
where darkness talks in fright
where fear comes out of sight
there’s no lamp that gives a light
Wintertime
It’s cooling a bit down
getting more colder too
darkness coming ’round
sunshine is a chilly zoo
the winter is coming on
wind is gonna be strong
and snow covers the land
like a white palace stand
Winter is the season
filled with snow and ice
people have a reason
to follow the advice
careful on the street
watch where you step
it looks pretty steep
or fall down in depth
I’m feeling a bit down
must have a slight cold
my head turning ’round
all stories can’t be told
feeling like a stranger
not anymore in danger
crawling on my knees
my body still disagrees
Noises heard in the yard
white snow falling apart
being swept through the air
the children playing there
thinking rather stay inside
without any foolish pride
show off in what I’m not
certainly I’m not our God
My Little Darling
Oh my little darling
my lovely you are
oh my pretty sunshine
my everything you are
No thunder no lightning
and nothing more to fear
embracing the blue sky
that soon will be here
feeling inside a paradise
when I’m here with you
we’re happy as anyone
no more no less we do
Oh my growing hope
my future you are
oh my blessed hour
my power you are
It is good to know
that you are there
feels grand to show
that you’re anywhere
spirits of my heart
laughs in my dreams
touched me so near
like forever it seems
Oh my distant future
my prospect you are
oh my loving woman
my lover you
