    Shannon M. Grier

    Author of The Gate Shannon M. Grier was born on August 17th, 1970 in a small Marietta town in North GA. Growing up in many different environments has contributed along with various forms of music to her unique style of writing. Her poetry was found to be among the distinct few whom demonstrate a strong sense of creativity and who can grasp the technical aspects of writing. Winning several Editors Choice Awards and the 2003 Presidents award of Literary Excellence from Iliad Press, she is a distinguished member of the National Authors Registry and also a member of The International Society of Poets. As a writer she has ironically found stability in solitude.
