Higher Power

About this ebook
It’s not particularly soft like the fifth book, Never Give Up. On the other hand, it’s not as fierce and heavy as number 6, Stay Strong, was. It’s a unique collection of many repetitive poems—a style that I have improved a lot because I like writing like that even though it’s not always easy.
The strength to keep on writing hasn’t left me even though bad experiences have been part of my life in 2017 and 2018 due to mistakes of other people who have robbed me in their smiling innocence. Writing makes me forget that many servicepeople aren’t good or willing to help you. But I believe in God.
This seventh book, Higher Power, is also being published by Xlibris, as all the aforementioned.

I was born the 4th of January in 1958. I became interested in writing, not just writing, ‘cause writing a book is only one story. I wanted to create, make new stories, over and over again. So I started writing poetry, not just a few lines but in a way nobody else does. A whole page with a whole new story. In a simple manner, poetry for everybody, where one doesn’t need a dictionary to understand, feel and recognize what the poem is about. Everywhere I was, just started writing a few lines on a piece of paper or on a beermat. Sometimes these lines came easy, sometimes it took me many weeks to complete a poem.

Higher Power - Dirk De Bock
And Along The
And along the long way
what did you really say
so along the lousy way
many made some sway
We are the followers of good intensions
that might lead to certain improvements
like in the past with people’s inventions
everyone with that positive in movements
make this world better and eliminate bad
makes you the best friend we’ve ever had
And along the happy time
it all seem to be in rhyme
so along the cheerful time
we were actually doing fine
You make the sun shine all the way
through dark night into enlighted day
with your sweetest smile that we see
we follow you wherever you may be
when you go to Japan or somewhere
this we promise you, we will be there
And along the southern trip
we were all feeling very hip
so along this wonderful trip
to finally score, that was it
What more can you give to the world
than promoting more good in our lives
wipe out who joined where evil curled
so that men live happy with their wives
you seem to have the power of an angel
stay true to God, allow him a brain cell
And along the declined night
everything felt quite alright
so along this peaceful night
it felt good to hold on tight
Yesterday & Tomorrow
I admit this really would be
a final grand answer for me
maybe where I’m able to find
back the time I’ve left behind
in a scream I’ve tried so hard
realizing the break-up and part
of a true love that was so tight
so soft and tender as the light
Any life without love is drastic
dolls are better off, they’re plastic
feel so lonely in the morning dew
are unhappy lives only for a few
Days have come in the color grey
darkened as nights with no delay
dear future where have you gone
yesterday has past still it goes on
an emptiness has filled my heart
left my emotions in a deep smart
will I leave behind all the sorrow
shall I live to see a new tomorrow
Where there’s a will there’s a way
isn’t that what people always say
not about go painting the town red
being used to work yourself in sweat
It causes such pain it’s indescribable
problems coming up that’s undeniable
solutions are nowhere to be found
like being hammered to the ground
as an old tree frozen without leaves
foolish people and their disbelieves
yet now try to keep the focus on you
God will guide us and tell what to do
Happy To Tell
It can’t be seen from the outside
though it’s there, no way to hide
any longer and why should I care
I’m feeling good going at the fair
it’s like almost all day and all night
feeling so fine just feeling so good
everything is groovy and all is right
just like all of us knew that it would
I have some foodstuff in the afternoon
want to drink and then do some dance
the gray evening comes back to soon
