Stay Strong

I cant believe it myself, but this book, Stay Strong, is already the sixth one that I wrote. Also, this time, its a combination of fifty poems in English, plus one in French at the end of the book.

I guess I have to face it; I cant stop now. So keep on writing is the message. Ill go forward to the next book, which will be the seventh one, of course. Dont worry; Ive already started on that seventh book.

I have the feeling that the poems in Stay Strong are a bit heavier with more fierce language while the poems of book five, Never Give Up, were a bit softer and easier on the heart. For sure, it was the softest of them all, spoken in general terms, of course. While this book Stay Strong is just the opposite.

My health has grown stronger, certainly after a last operation in April 2017, so that gave me more strength and willpower to go on.

This means that this sixth book, Stay Strong, is also my sixth book that is being published by Xlibris.

I was born the 4th of January in 1958. I became interested in writing, not just writing, ‘cause writing a book is only one story. I wanted to create, make new stories, over and over again. So I started writing poetry, not just a few lines but in a way nobody else does. A whole page with a whole new story. In a simple manner, poetry for everybody, where one doesn’t need a dictionary to understand, feel and recognize what the poem is about. Everywhere I was, just started writing a few lines on a piece of paper or on a beermat. Sometimes these lines came easy, sometimes it took me many weeks to complete a poem.

Black Spiders

Many little black spiders down the road

keep crawling carrying some heavy load

where are they headed towards the wall

sometimes some of them stumble and fall

the heavy load is way too much for them

they have to reorganise themselves again

it’s still a long way until the end is near

footsteps are coming closer bringing fear

Dark shadows rising over their tiny heads

rapidly they start weaving some spiderwebs

protection that’s what they need right now

they got to fix this terrible situation somehow

crawling closer and closer towards each other

making themselves even smaller and bother

yes their next of kin has to survive this prick

finishing this mission gives them a final kick

It seems that these sounds are not the same

the only same thing appears to be our game

whatever difference this would have made

we know that it’s right it’s not some mistake

finding back those puzzling pieces to reign

no lies between us is our black spider’s name

scaring the people is not what we did choose

it’s keeping our future our kingdom can’t lose

For us black spiders death is not our real fear

we’re living on the edge the end is often near

our lives have always been close to dangerous

just like our names seem kind of mysterious

the legends from the earlier times stay inside

maybe our enemies they rather wish to hide

and if our time of dying comes as a surprise

always being busy catching flies it’s paradise

You Got Me

You got me turning all around

you got me following that sound

you got me coming and back again

you got me saying bye until then

This is the little wonder that you do

many of those things for me and you

you’re willing to give in plenty more

oh darling it’s definitely you I adore

you’ve got that style that I love much

a peculiar grace you radiate feels hot

brightens up my heart’s hunch as such

your appearance which I like a lot

You got me looking further ahead

you got me alive instead of dead

you got me thinking of tomorrow

you got me forgetting my sorrow

Our period passes by so painful fast

although feeling lucky where we are

being together forever it seems at last

watching a suddenly shiny bright star

is it a sign from our Lord of approval

of the love between our found souls

about our lives of change and renewal

finally achieving our deferred goals
